Hi, I’m Vlad

Hi, I’m Vlad Hi, I’m Vlad
A UI/UX Designer & Web-developer based in Australia.

I’ve been working as a Web-developer for over 15 years. Started since the time of the dinosaurs as an animator & a banner-marker in Macromedia Flash, after as a Web-designer I worked on a ton of various digital projects. Today the main area of my expertise is UI/UX & FE, but I’m always ready for something new.

What is it?
Anomalistic Tasmania is my wife’s digital project created in UTAS Art School in 2015.

The purpose of this project is to represent a familiar place from a different angle through showing ordinary or bleak landscapes with unusual content in it by adding curious and even bizarre artifacts into a photograph to catch one’s attention and evoke the sense of beauty of a place. Sometimes to see spaces differently we have to look at them from different perspectives and this work was created with an attempt to unlock this potential in its aesthetic, meaningful and even dramatic manner.

The aim of this project was to identify the relationships between an object and the space where it exists, to reveal its dominant nature and to demonstrate how the object becomes an instrument to change the atmosphere of the space. The main inspiration was drawn from the nature of Australia, particularly Tasmania, in it's pristine and virgin appearance, where its peaceful and contemplative essence awakes imagination to picture mysterious or enigmatic motives.

What I did
    What I used
      It’s a Russian-style BBQ on skewers.

We call it "Shashliki" too. There is no one right recipe for shashlik because every Jedi-of-Shashlik has his own secret ingredients and cooking techniques. Also every true Russian Jedi-of-Shashlik says that his shashlik is absolutely awesome and there is nothing better in the whole Universe.

It is usually cooked in the outdoor environments during social gatherings but crazy Russians can cook it even in their own bath.

And yes! I believe that my shashlik is absolutely awesome.– Vladislav V.
